In 1930 after the economic depression Adam Pickel and Georg Bachmann founded the "Bayernland". It was the answer to the then prevalent milk overflow in Bavaria, which resulted from the import of more and more foreign dairy products. Since then, the constant quality control and the joint sales of the products are still the declared goals of Bayernland.
